Main Street Mental health is a small concierge clinic. When you schedule an appointment we set that time aside for you.  We do not double book time slots. We pride ourselves on being on time and prioritizing time managment because we know your time is valuable. That being said there are inevitably issues that arise from time to time. You are responsible for notifying us of any need to cancel or reschedule your appointments at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time.

Appointments that are missed or canceled with less than the required notice are subject to a cancellation fee of $100. This fee will be charged to the card on file. Because appointment times are reserved specifically for you, late cancellations and no-shows limit our ability to offer care to other patients. Multiple missed appointments may result in dismissal from our services. 

If you have questions about fees, billing, or payment policies, we encourage you to contact our office prior to your appointment. Our goal is to maintain transparency while allowing our clinic to focus on providing consistent, high-quality care.

Medications such as benzodiazepines are tightly regulated by the DEA. Common names include Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium, Ambien as well as Adderall, Concerta, etc. These medications can be very useful but require more frequent monitoringand must be part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Controlled substances will not be refilled early and cannot be refilled if the patient is not reasonably compliant with appointments. This clinic utilizes prescription databases that allow providers to see the history of controlled substances prescribed to a patient. This is an attempt to limit the misuse and diversion of prescription medications. 

This clinic does not have a strict no benzodiazepine policy, but it uses them in only FDA indicated ways. This clinic DOES have a strict policy not to prescribe benzodiazepines to individuals prescribed opiods or other CNS depressants. By Texas law nurse practitioners cannot prescribe Schedule II controlled substances including stimulant medications like Adderall, Concerta, Vyvanse, Ritalin, etc.

Any aggressive or inappropriate behaviors in or around the prescribing of controlled substances will not be tolerated. Non-compliance with appointments, staff harassment or aggressive behavior will result in a safe taper off of medications and immediate discharge from the clinic.
